Introduction

Durapump is a well know pump solution specialist in Northampton. Having recently moved into a new multi-purpose built factory and warehouse facility, they were looking for a workbench solution for their new pump inspection and prep area.

The Challenge

Operations Manager Jayden Keam was keen to find a solution that ticked all the boxes, but having spent a while looking into various options, kept hitting roadblocks. Their unique needs included a really robust solution to carry the weight of pump systems up to 750 kg. Not only was weight an issue, but also size, as some of the pumps are large and bulky. In addition, they required the benches to be mobile, as they often re-configure the space, or if working on really large systems, they wanted the ability to push them together to make 1 extra-large bench unit.

The Solution

Jayden Keam approached us armed with all the challenges they faced and we set to work finding the best solution for their needs. Rhino Heavy Duty Mobile Workbenches immediately came up on top with meeting the need of the weight they could carry, and also the size and ability to move them around or arrange them together creating a much larger workspace. In addition, the Grey Supaseal Workbench Protection Mats were a great solution as they gave a fantastic non-slip, but wipe clean, surface for when working on the pumps and the likelihood of oil, grease and sludge spills.
