Introduction
Rhino were proud to spend time working with BAMD Composites on their design and fitout project of their new Training Academy at Upper Heyford. This new Academy facility is designed to bring graduates and trainees into the composites world by providing a facility to learn how to work with carbon composites.
The Challenge
BAMD had a new facility designed, and needed to work with a Mat specialist to ensure they had the best solution which meant they protected the surfaces of the new workstations, but also gave a non slip cutting surface whilst the trainee’s were working and trimming the carbon fibre.
For this New Project, the normal go to Workbench Protection mat would be the Supaseal Range as this gives a cost effective solution enabling the whole bench or Workstation to be covered in a single Mat meaning no joins for debris, or parts to catch on. The Supaseal Blue worked well with their branding and aesthetics of the Academy whilst also giving a durable, but soft cushion to protect the Carbon parts.
The Solution
Whilst for a longer term Ultimate Solution of the Ultraseal is often used with Carbon Fibre, the BAMD project shows that Supaseal can be a great lower cost alternative to not only cover large bench areas but also as smaller individual Workbench Cutting Mats.
